Another product of the Turner Ashby High School wrestling program, Jeremy began wrestling at the age of 6 and excelled throughout his high school wrestling career, winning multiple district titles as well as becoming a regional champ and state runner-up. By winning both free-style and Greco-Roman state titles, Jeremy was able to compete on the Virginia/USA National Team.
Jeremy stumbled upon the MMA scene while attending college at the University of Kentucky. Although not wielding any formal training, Jeremy competed in several unsanctioned no-holds-barred competitions and soon realized his potential and new found passion for the martial arts. After attending traditional jiu-jitsu classes and learning the basics of submission in Kentucky, Jeremy brought this knowledge back to Harrisonburg and encouraged his old wrestling mentors to begin MMA training. Those "mentors" were none other than Beau and Kyle Baker, and the result of that is history in the making.
After completing his undergraduate work at the University of Kentucky, Jeremy continued his education at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond. While starving to continue his pursuit of mixed martial arts, he was introduced to Rick McCoy, Virginia's first professional fighter and premiere trainer, in 2006. Forged by countless hours of training in the arts of Sombo, Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai, and boxing under the tutelage of McCoy, Jeremy quickly became a force in the amateur fight circuit. He was given the honor to be the first fighter to compete for the newly established McCoy Martial Arts Institute (MMAI) in April 2007, winning with ease in the first round. Given the nickname "All Day" by McCoy himself for his seemingly endless conditioning obtained from a maniacal work ethic, Jeremy brings a dangerous profile to the mixed martial arts game. A smart, athletic, and extremely well-rounded fighter, Jeremy looks forward to soon breaking into the professional circuit and continue the dominance he has previously displayed. Jeremy is also a Doctorate in Physical Therapy and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.
